Man pleads guilty in McLean County attempted murder trial

BLOOMINGTON – A Gibson City man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder for his role in a double stabbing in 2016.

Arthur “AJ” Corry has reached a plea agreement in McLean County court. Prosecutors dropped charges of home invasion and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Police say Corry stabbed a 54-year-old man multiple times and stabbed a woman 46-year-old woman at a home in Saybrook in September 2016. Police arrested Corry at a traffic stop in Champaign the following day.

Corry will be sentenced May 31.
