Bloomington Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 53-year old woman, who is believed to have left Bloomington Christmas morning and did not show up for a family gathering in Tazewell County.
Police say Carmon Edwards of Bloomington may be suffering from a cognitive or memory decline. She was last seen about 11 o’clock Christmas morning driving a light gold or champagne-colored 2004 Mitsubishi Galant.
The vehicle’s registration number is 8219185.
Police say Edwards was apparently heading towards Pekin or Washington, in Tazewell County. Police say she is white, about five feet six inches tall, with hazel eyes and brown or reddish hair.
Police say Edwards was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue coat.
Police released a photo of the woman, with her family’s permission, and also released a picture of a car similar to the vehicle she was driving.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at 309-820-8888, or Detective Jeff Engle at 309-434-2371.
Bloomington officers and Illinois State Police are investigating.
