Child porn case in Normal leads to an arrest

NORMAL – Normal Police have arrested a local man for possession of child pornography following a 1 1/2-year long investigation.

Bond was set for Theodore Nystrom, 52, of Bloomington at $500,000, which means he has to come up with $50,000 to be released from the McLean County Jail.

Police said they found many videos and pictures of child pornography on Nystrom’s computer during a search of his former residence in the 2000 block of N. Midway Ave. in north Normal during the spring of 2016.

Police arrested Nystrom on Tuesday.
