Two killed in DeWitt County crash

BLOOMINGTON – State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a semi and a car that happened Saturday night in DeWitt County.

The car, reportedly heading north on Route 51, collided with a semi. The semi was on Autumn Road crossing the northbound traffic and heading south on Route 51 when the car collided with the semi’s trailer. The occupants of the car, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was unharmed.

Names are being withheld pending family notification. The DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department and County Coroner are also investigating the crash.
