Bloomington Police searching for suspect of early morning break-in

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Police Department is searching for the suspect of a break-in that occurred earlier this morning.

Around 6:17 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 1000 block of North Evans Street in Bloomington for a report of a home invasion.

Police reported a male had entered the residence with a handgun and demanded money fom two adult victims. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0″ in height. Anyone with information is asked to contact BPD’s Crime & Intelligence Analysis Unit at (309) 434-2963.
