PONTIAC – The Pontiac City Council has approved a redevelopment agreement with Precision Planting, an agricultural research-centered group.
Mayor Bob Russell explained the company will move its center to Pontiac.
“They’re going to have groups in from literally around the world,” Russell said. “They call it a sandbox, where you’ll actually be able to use the equipment to see how it works. For the city, what it means is that thousands of people will be coming here to see this and to go through these seminars.”
Russell said the company will lease city-owned land next to the new Hampton Inn along South Deerfield Road.
