PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Calling 911 in Tazewell County, at least for the time being, will send a person to Peoria’s emergency dispatch center due to an outage.
In a Facebook post, the county’s 911 dispatch center said “All 911 lines coming into our center are down. If you call 911, the call will be routed to Peoria County and they will either take the information or transfer the call to us.”
The center said they hoped to have the issue resolved by Thursday afternoon.
“You can call us direct on any of the non-emergency police lines or 309-346-3132 and 309-346-4141. Sorry for the inconvenience. This issue is out of our control,” the post said.
