BLOOMINGTON – It’s now clean-up time for one local nonprofit after a pip burst flooded several rooms.
For the Salvation Army in Bloomington, that even means tearing down some walls to prevent mildew.
“Someone went into our building, it was actually Major Dan (Leisher) to hear he thought that someone left the water running. There was a pipe in the attic that broke,” Deborah Cole, the Director of Development at the Salvation Army, said on WJBC. “We don’t know if the pilot light went out on the furnace went out because that was not working.
It flooded (our) classroom, kitchen, his (Major Dan’s) office, probably at least a third of the gym, and our restrooms. They’re going to be unusable because we have to tear some walls down.”
The flooding should not impact any services, including the Midnight Café.
