Illinois Freedom Caucus blames governor for rising cost of energy

SPRINGFIELD – Your utility bills are too high, and the Illinois Freedom Caucus says it’s Gov. JB Pritzker’s fault.

“It’s just another attack on the middle class and seniors on fixed incomes, you know electric bills have been exploding under Gov. Pritzker’s radical agenda to destroy Illinois,” said State Rep. Chris Miller (R-Oakland), the caucus’ chair.

“We’ve been warning people for the last two years that this spike was on its way, and it’s finally here.”

Miller says the governor’s pursuit of the White House has led him to eschew fossil fuels in favor of doubling Illinoisans’ utility bills, in some cases running them out of business.

This group’s answer: repeal recent “clean energy” legislation.
