Around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, NPD officers responded to shots fired call near the area of College Ave. and White Oak Rd.

Authorities report a domestic violence incident began at a different location in Normal and then proceeded to an area where the suspect shot at the victim near College Ave. and White Oak Rd.

During an investigation, detectives were able to identify a suspect who was taken to a local hospital for ‘precautionary reasons’ and was later arrested.

Prosecutors in McLean County charged Shanarra Spillers with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.

There is no bond information available, and there were no injuries in the incident.
