BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington Ward One Council Vacancy application deadlines closes Wednesday.
The position is now open after the resignation of Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem, Jamie Mathy, who steeped down due to business conflicts that will not allow him to serve.
For consideration, candidates must be 18 years of age or older and a Bloomington resident, in the ward one vacancy area, for at least one year. In addition, They cannot be a convicted felon or have any outstanding debt with the city.
Interested residents who reside in Ward One can apply HERE or pick up an application at The Hub, 115 E. Washington Street, in Bloomington.
Mathy’s resignation was effective Tuesday, March 29, 2022, and the opening must be filled within 60 days of that effective date.
