TAZEWELL COUNTY – The now-removed CEO of Reditus Labs in Pekin starts the week speaking out against the administrative and legal claims he’s facing.
The statement offered by spokesperson Natalie Bauer Luce of Chicago-based PR firm Culloton and Bauer Luce says in part, “it is clear there is a coordinated campaign underway to destroy Dr. Rossi’s reputation and to dismantle the good work he’s done for the community.”
That good work according to the statement is, “building businesses, creating hundreds of jobs and offering life-saving testing, including establishing one of the few labs in the country to offer whole genome sequencing for cancer patients as well as nationally available COVID-19 tests to help bring an end to the pandemic.”
This proclamation comes as Rossi faces federal tax fraud charges for 2015, 2016 and 2017. The civil lawsuit brought by an ousted business partner has removed him from the day-to-day management of the company and appointed a receiver. Rossi is also facing an admirative proceeding seeking to remove his surgical assistant license, the only health care certification he holds.
“Dr. Rossi,” the statement says has so far, “sought to respect the courts and decline public comment on the egregious and outrageous claims brought against him.”
“Dr. Rossi is proud of his record and his contributions to the community.” Bauer Luce says, “he looks forward to defending himself and aggressively fighting these unfounded matters.”
