20-year old killed by gunfire in early Saturday morning shooting in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON – A 20-year old man is dead after a shooting early Saturday morning in the 1600 block of W. Olive St.

According to a news release, Bloomington Police responded to the call around 1:50 a.m. to a report of people fighting.

Once on the scene, police located a 20-year old male deceased in an apartment with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

The identification of the victim is pending notification of family members.

The Bloomington Police Department’s Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) detectives and Criminal Investigations Division (CID) detectives are investigating the homicide.

Authorities say there have been no arrests, and no suspect information is available.
