BLOOMINGTON-Home Sweet Home Ministries is hosting it’s sixth annual Night in a Car on February 4th.
The event will kick-off at 7 p.m. next Friday and continue until 7 a.m. the following Saturday morning.
“Home Sweet Home Ministries is thrilled to have Night In A Car back for its sixth year. We are blessed to have over 50 teams join us for this unique experience,” shares Matt Burgess, Home Sweet Home Ministries CEO.
‘It’s been exciting to see our numbers grow by providing participants the option to participate virtually. With the community’s support, we look forward to reaching our $150,000 goal. Everyone can get involved by going to www.nightinacar.org and signing up a team or donating any size to a team or the event as a whole. Together, we can drive out the homelessness in our community.”
Participants are invited to stay in their car at Trinity Lutheran Church, but are not discouraged to spend the night in their own driveway.
Partakers at Trinity Lutheran will have opportunities to come inside for bottled water, prepackaged snacks, and restroom breaks throughout the evening.
In 2021, 300 people participated in Night In A Car including individuals, families and church groups to see if they could brave the cold and survive in their cars for one night.
Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 801 South Madison Street in Bloomington.
