BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department (MCHD) reports two additional COVID-19 related deaths since last Thursday, along with 1,434 new cases of COVID-19.
MCHD officials report the latest deaths include two males in their 60’s who were not associated with a long-term care facility.
There have been 308 COVID-related deaths in McLean County.
At last count, 34 McLean County residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19 as local hospitals report 81% of ICU beds and 97% of total beds in use.
County officials report 50 people from outside the county are hospitalized in the twin cities.
Authorities say 2,557 people are isolated at home, while 28,614 people have been released from isolation and are considered recovered.
The county’s cumulative positivity rate is 4.5%. The rolling 7-day positivity rate is 15.6%.
On the vaccine front, 247,276 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the county, and 58.42% of the population is fully vaccinated.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), 60.63% of Illinois residents are fully vaccinated.
