BLOOMINGTON- About 10 months ago, Denny’s Doughnuts and Bakery approached WJBC’s Scott Miller with a proposal to create his own donut. Miller was on immediately intrigued, suggesting that the funds should go to charity.
The two collaborated and agreed that 50% of the funds would be donated to the Bloomington-Normal Boys and Girls Club.
Well, the total is in. Miller’s doughnut profited $2,350, and that total was donated to the local boys and girls club.
Millers doughnut is not going into retirement anytime soon, but will now only be available on weekends.
If inspired to try the delicious pastry, just look for the yellow cake doughnut, with caramel icing topped with chocolate doughnut crumbles at Denny’s Doughnuts and Bakery at 1107 South Main Street in Bloomington.
