Stationed in Hopedale, Ill. is a holiday season tradition that brings together the community. Each Thanksgiving, Hopedale Medical Complex(HMC) offers free holiday meals to those who live in the community and surrounding areas. Although the meal is free, that doesn’t stop visitors from leaving a donation.
This year, the HMC received $1,066.00 in donations, all of which they plan to pass along to the Hopedale Rescue Squad on behalf of the local community.
“There is not a better organization to donate these funds to this year. We are appreciative of the Hopedale Rescue Squad and the important work that they do in our community,” Emily Whitson, COO of HMC, said.
The rescue crew residing in Hopedale is comprised of 14 volunteer EMT’s and First Responders. Brian Reed, Chief of the Rescue Squad is thankful for receiving the check.
“These funds will be put to good use for those we serve in this community. We are thankful for the donation,” Reed said.
The Hopedale Rescue Squad is celebrating their 50 year anniversary of service to the Hopedale Township community.
