LEROY – A Clinton man faces charges in McLean County after a joint investigation with LeRoy and Clinton Police.
According to a news release, six vehicles were burglarized at four residents in the Falcon Ridge subdivision in LeRoy on October 12.
On October 14, LeRoy Police arrested Austin Leininger, of Clinton, for six counts of burglary to a motor vehicle.
Leininger remains behind bars in the McLean County jail on a $10,000 bond.
“In all cases, the vehicles were unlocked,” LeRoy police said in the social media post. “LeRoy PD encourages residents to remove valuables from their vehicles, to lock their vehicles, to park in well-lit areas, to use security cameras if possible, and to immediately report any suspicious activity noticed at the time it is occurring.”
Authorities are also asking for help in locating Hunter Boyer, 19, also of Clinton.
Police say Boyer is a suspect in multiple car burglaries last week in LeRoy.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact LeRoy Police at 309-962-3310.
