PONTIAC – The Director of the Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce says the Threshermen’s Parade is ready to make its way through downtown Pontiac on Sunday.
The annual tradition was in doubt for a time, but Cathi Coppinger says 150 entries have signed up. That includes floats and tractors, and she says marching bands will be involved, as well. The parade will also feature an annual favorite.
“Once again we were able to book the South Shore Drill Team, which is always a big draw. And because of COVID, they were just sitting around waiting for us to call,” said Coppinger.
The parade will follow its traditional route starting just south of the Mill Street bridge and moving around the downtown square. The parade starts at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
