BLOOMINGTON – Just a little more than a month after historic flooding in the Twin Cities, Bloomington Public Works crews wrapped up bulk waste collection on Tuesday.
After record flooding, Bloomington enacted the special collection to help residents as they were clearing out items that suffered water damage in the storms.
“Crews worked diligently to remove the large amounts of items left for collection and were able to stay on schedule for the most part,” Bloomington Communications and External Affairs Manager Katherine Murphy said.
As a result, the city is putting the $25 per bucket fee back into effect, where citizens can take their waste to the Citizen Convenience Center.
The center is located at 402 S. E. St and is open Tuesdays 7:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m., Wednesdays 11:00 a.m. until 6:45 p.m., and Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.
