MAROA – A home in Maroa was destroyed Thursday morning by a fire.
According to the Maroa Fire Department, at 12:34 a.m., the Maroa Fire Department, along with Argenta-Oreana, Hickory Point, Clinton, and Kenney Fire departments, was called for a first alarm home fire.
Shortly after en route to the fire, Maroa command requested a 2nd alarm fire, bringing Warrensburg, Latham, and Harristown Fire Departments as the home was engulfed in flames.
The department reports the occupants of the home were not home at the time of the fire, and the house is a total loss.
Crews remained on the scene to put out hot spots until 3:30 a.m.
