BLOOMINGTON – McLean County health officials Thursday reported another coronavirus-related death. A man in his 90s not associated with a long-term care facility. There have been 225 lives lost in the county.
The health department reported 17 new cases as the number of active cases inched down to 329. There are 35 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID.
McLean County’s rolling positivity rate inched down to 3.5%. 32 additional people were released from isolation and are considered recovered.
Pfizer Vaccine for Ages 12-15:
Following Wednesday’s announcement from the CDC, the Pfizer vaccine is now available for kids ages 12-15 in McLean County. The health department says it will begin scheduling the Pfizer vaccine to this age category immediately at all clinics where the Pfizer vaccine is offered. Those 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
