BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department has received last week’s shipment of COVID-19 vaccines which got delayed by winter weather.
MCHD has announced new dates for vaccine clinics that were canceled last week:
- Appointments cancelled on Tuesday, February 16 due to the weather have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 25 at the Grossinger Motors Arena.
- Appointments cancelled on Friday, February 19 due to delayed vaccine shipments have been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 2 at the Grossinger Motors Arena.
People will be be rescheduled in the same time slot as their original appointment on the new clinic dates, according to MCHD.
This information has been emailed to all those affected by the appointment changes to the email address used when they originally registered. No further action is needed to confirm a rescheduled appointment. The email includes instructions on how to reschedule the appointment should there be a conflict.
According to the health department, COVID-19 vaccine being received for first doses is still very limited at this time. MCHD will open additional clinics and appointments when vaccine supply allows.
As of Monday, over 27,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in McLean County.
