NORMAL – The U.S. Department of Education awarded Illinois State University a $4,331,426 grant to prepare, develop, and enhance the skills of educators.
“Illinois State University is an exceptional university that provides a great education to residents across our state and around the globe,” said U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood (R-Dunlap) in a news release with U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville).
“I’m the proud parent of three Illinois State University students. I know first-hand the high quality education ISU provides to its student body,” said Davis.
The funding was awarded through the U.S. Department of Education’s Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) Renewal program.
The purpose of the SEED program is to increase the number of highly effective educators by supporting the implementation of Evidence-Based practices that prepare, develop, or enhance the skills of educators.
