BLOOMINGTON – McLean County’s rolling positivity rate once again fell as the health department Wednesday announced 28 new coronavirus cases.

MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight said there are 1,346 active cases, eight are hospitalized, two in intensive care, and the rest are isolating at home.
The county’s rolling positivity rate dropped from 6.7% to 6.1%. 20 additional people have recovered, bringing the recovery total to 1,629. There have been 18 COVID-related deaths.
Meanwhile, Illinois State University reported seven additional students have tested positive. ISU’s positivity rate is 5.1% and the school’s case total is 1,392. Illinois Wesleyan University on Tuesday announced no new cases.
