PONTIAC – A fifth Livingston County resident has died from coronavirus complications.
The Livingston County Health Department said the patient was a man in his 80s.
Health officials Wednesday reported four new COVID cases in the county, bringing the total to 294. The new cases are a man and woman in their 20s and a woman in her 30s who are isolating at home. A woman in her 80s is currently hospitalized.
Of the 294 cases, LCHD said 25 remain active and 264 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, the Illinois Department of Public Health Tuesday announced 1,941 new cases and 35 additional deaths. The statewide positivity rate is 3.7%.
