NORMAL – Normal Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened Monday night near Illinois State University.
An ISU police crime advisory said officers were called around 9:30 p.m. to the 700 block of Franklin Avenue. There were no reported injuries or damage to property but a single shell casing was later found in the area. A witness reported seeing a white vehicle leave the scene with no other suspect information.
This is believed to be an isolated incident. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Normal Police at 309-454-9535 or McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-888-1111.
