Tri-Valley moves classes online due to COVID

DOWNS – Three students and a staff member in the Tri-Valley school district have tested positive for COVID-19.

“To protect the health and safety of our students and staff and allow appropriate time for contact tracing to take place, our district shifted from in-person attendance Monday and Tuesday to remote learning,” said Superintendent David Mouser.

“This decision was not made lightly as we recognize the inconvenience and challenges it will cause for families,” added Mouser. “However, we felt it was necessary until we can make sure our buildings are safe for students and staff to return.”

The district plans to resume in-person classes on Thursday.

Mouser said they encourage everyone to practice handwashing, social distancing and wearing a mask in public.
