NORMAL – Illinois State University Police issued a crime advisory Tuesday after a student reported he was robbed in his apartment near campus.
Normal Police were called around 10 p.m. Monday to the 400 block of West Locust Street. The student told police he was robbed by two males while conducting a transaction for a pair of shoes. One of the suspects was alleged to have been armed with a handgun. The suspects took cash and cell phones before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the suspects are a white male, thin build, wearing a black shirt, and a black male, thin build, wearing a black jacket.
