BLOOMINGTON – The rolling positivity rate continues to inch up in McLean County as local health officials Friday announced 80 new cases of coronavirus.
There are 529 active cases, according to McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight. Three people remain hospitalized and 526 are isolating at home.
Most of the new cases are people ages 18-29, as about half of the county’s 1,372 confirmed cases are people in that age range.
The county’s rolling seven-day positivity rate continues to rise at 8.6%, above the statewide rate of 4.1%.
MCHD said 47 additional people have been released from isolation, as 827 residents have recovered. There have been 16-COVID related deaths.
