BPD: Man found dead after mowing accident

BLOOMINGTON – Authorities said a man died Wednesday morning after a mowing accident on Bloomington’s east side.

Bloomington police and firefighters were called around 8 a.m. to the 1200 block of North Hershey Road after a man was found trapped under a large mower.

Officers investigated the scene and called the McLean County Coroner’s office. Coroner Kathy Yoder pronounced the man dead at 8:36 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

The man’s identity is being withheld until family is notified. Authorities did not release any additional information.
