ISP: Joliet motorcyclist dead after collision with Bloomington driver

WILL COUNTY – A motorcyclist from Joliet has died after rear-ending a minivan driven by a man from Bloomington on Sunday around 10:45 p.m. on I-55 southbound north of Veterans Parkway in Will County.

Illinois State Police say the the motorcyclist, 22-year-old Joseph P. McGrath, sustained life-threatening injuries and died on scene after hitting the back of a minivan driven by 38-year-old Micah J. McClleland.

State Police say McGrath was ejected from his motorcycle which became fully-engulfed.

They also say McClleland did not sustain any injuries.
