Man dies in fatal car crash near Colfax

COLFAX – A 28-year-old man died in a car crash Wednesday morning just south of Colfax, according to McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder.

Yoder says the accident happened on 3400 East near 1800 North Road. The man was pronounced dead around 4:45 a.m. and he was the only person inside the vehicle, according to Yoder.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Wednesday. The man’s identity is being withheld until family is notified.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and McLean County Sheriff’s Office.
