BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department announced one new case of COVID-19, coming from another long-term care facility.
McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight said while testing the entire facility, as ordered by Gov. Pritzker, one resident tested positive for COVID-19.
“We can confirm that a resident at Martin Health Center at Westminster Village has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The resident had previously been in a private room with no contact with other residents and is now in the isolation wing of Martin Health Center. The resident had not exhibited COVID-19 symptoms, and this case was only known and detected during the mandatory testing of the facility. So, all other residents of Martin Health Center have tested negative.”
McKnight added that the individual is asymptomatic and is doing well.
Health officials report that out of 10,000 McLean County residents tested for COVID-19, the positivity rate is 2.6%.
