BLOOMINGTON – The coronavirus total in McLean County held steady Wednesday while two more people recovered from the virus.
The McLean County Health Department said of the 232 confirmed cases, 14 are in home isolation and 205 have recovered. There have been 13 deaths in the county.
MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight on Tuesday said health officials are encouraging anyone who has attended a large gathering or protest get tested for COVID-19. So far, McKnight said there are no cases in the county linked to mass gatherings.
Meanwhile, the testing site at the McLean County Fairgrounds administered 99 tests on Tuesday, according to the McLean County Emergency Management Agency. Walmart also announced its opening a COVID-19 drive-through testing site at the store in Normal.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 625 new cases and 78 additional deaths. The statewide totals now 129,837 cases, including 6,095 deaths.
