Man dies in fatal car crash near LeRoy

LEROY – A car crash Thursday morning near LeRoy killed one person, according to McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder.

Yoder says a 36-year-old man was pronounced dead around 6:35 a.m. after the accident happened on 3200 East near 600 North Road, just northeast of LeRoy. No information was given if any other vehicles were involved.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday. The victim’s name is being withheld until family is notified.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and McLean County Sheriff’s Office.
