PAXTON – Health officials have reported the first COVID-19 death in Ford County.
The Ford County Public Health Department said the patient was a man in his 80s with underlying health conditions.
On Monday, the health department announced its second confirmed COVID-19 case in the county.
There are 13,549 cases across the state, including 380 deaths, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
