SPRINGFIELD – State health officials with the daily update on coronavirus in Illinois.

673 news cases Thursday, bringing the state total to 2,538 across 37 counties, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.  That includes seven more deaths, now 26 total.

President Trump has approved Gov. Pritzker’s request for a disaster declaration for Illinois due to the coronavirus pandemic. This will help bring in more federal funding for the state and local government.

Health officials announced a second Livingston County resident has tested positive for COVID-19. The patient is a man in his 60s and is currently hospitalized. The man has no known history of exposure.

There are no new cases in McLean County, still eight confirmed cases which includes one death. The McLean County Health Department says as of Thursday, over 120 people have been tested with 34 test results still pending.
