FARMER CITY – The DeWitt County State’s Attorney will decide whether to file charges against a Blue Ridge High School student accused of making threats at the school.
Farmer City Police Chief Glenn Neal said the 18-year old student would be tried as an adult. He’s been suspended from school, according to the chief.
Police and the school’s resource officer started investigating Tuesday afternoon after a “verbal altercation” at the school.
The chief said the teenager “had issues” with three other students, but there was no written hit list, and no weapons were involved.
