BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington residents have the opportunity to get rid of bulk waste, but there are some guidelines and other ways to dispose of bulk items if you already missed your free pick up day.
The city will collect bulk waste for free until Oct. 14. Bloomington Public Works Director Jim Karch told WJBC’s Scott Miller everyone has specific day for bulk waste removal.

“Whatever your brush day is, that is your bulk day for this year,” said Karch.
Karch said items like commercial waste, liquids such as paints or oils, and electronics are unacceptable for bulk waste pickup.
Anyone who misses the free removal day can still get rid of bulk waste for free at the Citizen Convenience Center, located at 402 S. East Street, just south of the Bloomington Public Library.
