NORMAL – A national women’s clothing chain is closing down, including its location in the Shoppes at College Hills in Normal.
Dressbarn, which has been around for nearly 60 years, announced Monday all 650 locations will close. The company’s chief financial officer, Steven Taylor, said Dressbarn has not been operating at an “acceptable level of profitability in today’s retail environment.”
A person familiar with the situation said the Dressbarn in Normal, located at 314 South Towanda Avenue, has no closing date set.
The store has 11 full-time and part-time employees.
