Man dies in fatal crash on I-55

FUNKS GROVE – An early morning crash claimed a life on Sunday.

McLean County Corner Kathleen Yoder issued a statement saying a solo vehicle on I-55, mile marker 149, near Shirley claimed the life of a male occupant around 2:30 a.m.

The investigation into the identity of the decedent is still being conducted along with proper notification of family.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday and the incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
