BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police have made two arrests in connection to recent hold ups in the city.
BPD conducted two search warrants Friday morning at residences in Bloomington and Normal and arrested Terrell Blackshear, 28, of Bloomington and Larry Nelson, 31, of Normal.
Police said in a statement that during the search warrants evidence was obtained linking the two men to a series of stick ups.
Both men are charged with committing robberies at the Subway restaurant, 2310 E. Oakland Ave, on April 18, Six Points Food and Liquor, 1001 Six Points Road, April 29, and Casey’s General Store, 3007 Gill Street, May 8.
The two are also charged with an armed robbery in Normal at the O’Reilly Auto Parts, 401 Greenbriar Drive, on May 14.
Bond information is not available. Armed robbery is considered a Class X Felony, which is punishable by six to 30 years in prison.
