NPD: Woman hurt in car-pedestrian accident

NORMAL – A woman was badly hurt late Friday night when she was hit by a car in Normal.

The woman, in her early 20’s, was struck about 10:10 p.m. on westbound College Avenue, where the road splits with Mulberry Street.

Normal Police said the victim was seriously hurt, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A fire department ambulance took her to a local hospital.

Police are still investigating the accident.
