Bloomington man arrested for shots fired incident

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been arrested after a fight broke out Sunday and shots were fired.

Bloomington Police conducted an investigation and Tuesday arrested Ryan Higginbottom, 20, for aggravated discharge of a firearm.  At the time of the arrest, Higginbottom had additional arrest warrants not related to this incident.

On Sunday at 8:51 p.m. BPD repsonded to the area of Lee and Empire Streets for a report of people fighting and shots fired.  Authorities talked to witnesses and found evidence of gun shots.

Nobody was injured.
