BLOOMINGTON – With millions of travelers traversing Illinois roadways this Thanksgiving, Illinois State Police are reminding motorists to drive safely.
The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is one of the busiest travel periods of the year. ISP is asking drivers to keep eyes on the road, don’t speed and buckle seat belts.
Enforcement of the fatal four violations will be heavily monitored which include speeding, DUI, distracted driving and seat belts.
Last year 15 people died over Thanksgiving weekend on Illinois roadways.
