SPRINGFIELD– Another survey’s out about the dissatisfaction Illinoisans have with Illinois.
AARP surveyed 1200 registered voters in Illinois, age 25 and up, and found two- thirds rate their anger with Illinois’ fiscal quagmire at four or five, with five being the most angry.
“They realize their taxes have already risen and know more is coming,” AARP associate state director Lori Hendren told a statehouse news conference, “unless politicians in or coming into office put their constituents first and make the difficult political decisions
needed to put Illinois on a path to restore fiscal health. This is what Illinois voters are demanding, and they’re calling for action.”
Reporters are frustrated by the lack of detail in both of the major-party candidates’ financial plans. Hendron says they ought to lay them out.
