BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Sheriff’s Police are continuing to ask for the public’s help following the arrest of a former Saybrook foster parent accused of molesting two children.

On their Facebook page, police are requesting more information about Brad Talley, 45, but investigators declined to say if they believe there are other victims.

Prosecutors this week filed nine counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for alleged crimes that happened at Talley’s Saybrook home from 2013 to 2016.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Sheriff’s Detective Morganne Trickett at 309-888-4940.

A judge set bond at $1 million, which means Talley most come up with $100,035 to be released from jail.

Talley’s arraignment is set for September 7.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

In these troubled times, to my fellow white Americans

By Mike Matejka Our nation is at a unique watershed in human relations. African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
