BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police say they caught a man red-handed carrying stolen items out of a home.
Police report they were called to the 700 block of Fremont Street on Thursday afternoon to investigate a suspicious person. Officers reported hearing sounds of a hammer inside a home and surrounded the residence, and arrested Jeremy Baldridge, 34, of Bloomington when he exited with a bag of stolen items.
Officers say they found a damaged safe inside the home.
Court records indicate Baldridge’s criminal record includes a 2011 conviction in a residential burglary case. He served part of a 10 year prison sentence for that crime.
He’s being held on $5,035 cash bond.
