BLOOMINGTON – A popular almond milk has been recalled due to having a possibility of containing milk.
Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk sold at Kroger and Walmart in Bloomington has been recalled due to the possibility the product may contain milk.
The Federal Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall to a limited number of half-gallon Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk.
“The product is safe to consume unless you have a milk allergy or sensitivity. To date, there has been one report of an allergic reaction,” said the FDA in a news release. “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”
The recall applies to only refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk with a use-by date of Sept. 2 2018.
